About Us

The New River Teaching Alliance is coordinated through Alexandra Park School in Haringey. In March 2013, Alexandra Park School was privileged to be selected as a National Teaching School by the Department for Education. This was in recognition of our outstanding results and strong track record of training.

We are a large alliance with 12 secondary school partners, based in Haringey, Barnet and Enfield. We have formal partnership arrangements with three universities.

We work closely with HEP (Haringey Education Partnership) as our commissioned partners. Their support enables us to support over 80 primary and special school partners.

Teaching Schools give outstanding schools a leading role in the training and professional development of teachers, support staff and headteachers; as well as contributing to the raising of standards through school-to-school support.

Our collaboration with other schools and higher education institutions ensures a collegiate approach to school improvement.
